are currently accepting resumes for full time summer (May - September) positions!
Thinking
about a summer job in a fun outdoor environment? We are looking for positive,
cream-of-the-crop personalities to form our "I love farm" team!
A great attitude is the very most important asset you can bring to the job....we
can train you if you need to learn more about animals, or if you can drive a car but never
have driven a tractor!! etc!
Farmyard Team Level 1:
this is an important front line position because it involves animal care, teaching children, public relations!
Several positions available; some start immediately, some FT, some PT.
Requirements: Experience/education/interest in a field related to animals, children, tourism. Standard
First Aid, current clean Driver's licence,
Calgary Police check required.
Wage $10-14/hr to start depending upon related education/experience.
The Farmyard Team is responsible
for a big variety of activities concerned with animal care (feeding, farmyard
presentation and cleanliness), and program delivery (orientations with parents, teaching children, public relations, giving tractor and pony rides)! We both
set up for the day's program and then cleanup after everyone has gone. Offsite
responsibilities include taking animals out to various events around
town for Birthdays, Petting Zoos, or pulling off the odd fundraising or office
'gag' like kiss-the-pig contests! Perfect candidate is physically fit, a good
multi-tasker & team player, confident with adults, children and animals. This
is a 4 month summer full time position which possibly extend with part time weekends
in the spring/fall, may also have potential for full time/part-time permanent opportunities.
