City Day Camps (non- Butterfield Acres)
We frequently hear from teachers that Butterfield Acres is their favorite field trip... and after 20 years of school field trips we are now meeting excited Teachers who came here as children themselves!
Our programs are child centered, hands-on and we provide a comprehensive field trip info package.
As always… we've got wonderful friendly farm critters waiting for your students to visit!
We have received many Parent's Choice Awards and the Calgary Humane Society continues to give us their highest ratings.
Our concession, "Gobbles n' Gulps", may provide coffee or drinks, snacks, lunches and more for your group when pre-arranged through the farm office.
Plan to do an off-site visit! Summertime is perfect...
Farmyard visits with all the traditional Farm Critters! Very hands on!
Try all the things you'd do if you lived on a farm:
- Hunt for fresh eggs or play on the goat bridge
- Wriggle your fingers into some sheep's wool or try some milking
- Check out the cutest bunnies and chicks in town
- Have fun with some baby goats (they've got P-E-R-S-O-N-A-L-I-T-Y!!)
- Find some piggys, cows, ponies, donkeys, geese, chickens, and much more!
There's even a big old wagon ride behind "Old Blue ", our tractor!
Minimum group size is 15 children.

Harvest Pumpkin Hunts!
Gentle rolling ride over the hills and through the woods… crunching through the fall leaves … searching for some real cute kid-sized pumpkins! Includes pumpkin decorating (no carving) & a farmyard visit with the animals too! Plan for 1.5 - 2 hrs.
Available all month but we recommend visiting the farm early so the pumpkins can be admired all month!
Minimum group size is 20 children.
